the Bank started its operationin the financial market of Hungary on January 1, 1987. K&H Bank was established by the Hungarian state and certain “inherited” companies (active in agriculture, food industry, commerce and tourism). In 2001, K & H Bank merged with the Hungarian subsidiary of Dutch bank, ABN AMRO.
The merger led to the creation of one of the largest financial enterprises in Hungary. K&H lead Hungary’s corporate banking business and was second in the retail banking sector. To date, 100% of K & H Bank is owned by Belgian KBC.
