Commerzbank is a banking concern of Germany. Commerzbank AG is the second largest German bank by assets. It was founded on February 26, 1870. The Bank board of governors is located in Frankfurt am Main. The Bank has been offering its services on the Slovak market since 1995. Then we opened a branch in Bratislava. The Bank in Slovakia is especially focused on providing services to German companies doing business in republic; to Slovak medium and large-sized companies, which have business with Germany and beyond. The Italian insurance group Generali (8,6%) is its largest shareholder. The total number of shareholders is about 290 000. The German government owns 17% of stake in the bank.
